Crafted from our durable and breathable WoodStone® material, this box offers excellent thermal stability and a rough internal surface for easy grip, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for bats to roost, especially during the summer and milder winters.
Ideal for use in cavity walls, the bat box can be installed flush with the façade or recessed slightly. Multiple boxes can be connected by removing the internal wooden divider, allowing bats to move freely between sections—effectively creating a larger roosting space within the wall.
- Can be integrated into cavity walls in new construction or renovations
- Suitable for installation on either side of the building—preferably the south side
- Minimum recommended height: 2.5 meters
- Keep the flight path clear—avoid overhangs, awnings, or nearby planting
- No cold bridging: cavity insulation remains intact behind the box
- Sloped bottom design allows bat droppings to exit naturally
Multiple units may be placed side-by-side to create larger roosts. When connecting units, simply remove the wooden element on either side to allow bat movement between sections.
