Description

  • This built-in bat box is designed for façades finished with cladding, such as in timber frame construction (HSB).
  • Before installation, choose the desired thickness of the entry opening. This depends on the thickness of the cladding being used.
  • There is a choice between 20 mm (72005) and 28 mm (72006).
  • For installation in the facade, first attach the selected entry opening to the box using the supplied stainless steel bolts.
  • Position the box with the entry opening at the desired location(s) in the façade.
  • When finishing the façade, make sure to cut out the entry opening so that it is flush with or slightly protruding from the surface.
  • This built-in box can be placed facing any direction.
  • Using multiple boxes at varying heights and orientations offers the best chance of success. Always install at a minimum height of 3 metres, higher is better.
  • Do not install boxes directly above doors or windows.
  • Ensure there is a clear flight path to and from the box, and never place the boxes in or under artificial lighting.

Built-in boxes are often difficult to access. However, it’s important to check over time whether the box is still clean inside. Contamination can often occur due to moths and other insects, for example. These impurities can be removed using a long, flexible brush.

Note: Always carefully check that no bats are present in the box before cleaning!
