Description
This built-in bat box is ideal for compensating for a summer and/or mating roost during renovation or new construction.
The bat box is built in combination with the entrance stone IB VL 09 or in walls where the facade cladding is chosen by the user, such as in timber frame construction. In the latter application, it is necessary to create a proper connection to the box’s entry opening in the facade cladding. This built-in bat box is also suitable for surface mounting.
The box is made of exterior plywood with one interior side finished with spray cork. The layer of spray cork on the outside of the box also provides additional insulation.
The sloped design on the inside of the IB VL 31 ensures that bat droppings are automatically discharged through the entrance stone, preventing accumulation inside the box.
Suitable as a summer and mating roost for:
– Common pipistrelle
– Nathusius’ pipistrelle
– Soprano pipistrelle
The noctule and small maternity colonies of pipistrelles can also use this box. Additionally, the box can be used as a winter roost. It is also possible that other species may use this built-in box.
