Description
This pole-mounted bat box can be used for the mitigation and compensation of some species of bats. It has proven especially effective as a summer breeding box and a maternity bat box for the Common Pipistrelle.
The set includes two 6-meter metal masts (black powder coated) and two VK SK 03 maternity bat boxes. Additionally, it comes with bags of quick concrete and corresponding screws for mounting.
This box features an extended back wall, allowing bats to land on this section and crawl into the box. The three compartments, spaced 19 mm apart, are interconnected through holes in the partitions.
Several bat species can use this bat box, depending on the species present locally. It is suitable as a summer/breeding box and, for some species, as a maternity box. In mild winters, it can also serve as a shelter.
