The NK LA 15 is an extra spacious nest box made from 20 mm thick larch wood, specially designed for house sparrows. Other species such as the European pied flycatcher or tits may also use this nest box. The nest box features three separate nesting compartments. This matches the nesting behavior of house sparrows and provides flexibility in how the box is used. In practice, one compartment is often used as a breeding space, while the other compartments serve as sleeping and shelter areas.

Thanks to the use of durable larch wood, this nest box has a significantly longer lifespan than standard pine nest boxes.

The nest box is suitable for installation in trees, on building facades, or on fences, and provides a safe and comfortable nesting site.

Protection against damage

The entrance holes are fitted with wood-concrete protective inserts. These help prevent damage or pecking by larger birds, such as ring-necked parakeets. This significantly reduces the risk of the nest box being damaged or broken open.

Practical and easy to maintain

The nest box can be easily opened from the front by turning two screw hooks. This allows the entire front panel to fold forward, making inspection and maintenance simple.
