This wooden surface-mounted sparrow box is suitable for the temporary mitigation of house sparrow breeding sites. The nest box features the entrance opening on the right side and can be combined with the NK MU 11 (entrance opening in front) and the NK MU 12 (entrance opening on the left).
The three models have entrance openings on different sides, minimizing disturbance when the nest boxes are placed closer together. Maintain a minimum distance of 25 cm between boxes when using this combination.
The nest box is also favored by (cabbage) tits, among others. It is made of FSC®-certified exterior plywood.

These wooden sparrow boxes are the ideal solution for temporary mitigation of house sparrows.
- Preferably place the nest box with several others, maintaining a minimum horizontal and vertical spacing of 25 cm. Perfect combination with the NK MU 11 and NK MU 12.
- The boxes may be placed in all wind directions, as long as the entrance opening does not face southwest and is not exposed to direct sunlight all day. Ideal spots are directly under gutters or overhangs, or at least 3 meters in height.
- Do not add nesting material.
If desired, the box can be cleaned after the breeding season (preferably during the winter months). This can be done by opening the door on the side of the nest box.
