Description
This small bat box can be used for temporary mitigation, although experts prefer two-layer boxes. Installation is preferably on facades, but the bat box may also be suitable for placement in trees.
Several species of bats can use this bat box, depending on the local species and where it is hung. The box is suitable as a summer and/or breeding box, and in mild winters, it can also serve as a shelter.
As a summer or breeding box, it is suitable for:
- Whiskered Bat
- Common Pipistrelle
- Soprano Pipistrelle
- Nathusius’ Pipistrelle
In mild winters, it may also be used by:
- Common Pipistrelle
The box is finished in white to reduce temperature increases when installed in sunny, warm places. This bat box is also available in black (VK MP 04). The black finish allows the temperature inside to warm up quickly when placed in a shady, cooler location.
