This entrance stone can be bricked into the facade. Which species use the stone depends on the area where the stone is installed and the species already present. This built-in brick is suitable for the common dwarf bat, Common Pipistrelle, Nathusius’ Pipistrelle, and Particoloured Bat. The stone has a slot on the front that serves as access to the cavity wall. The slot is 2 cm high and 15 cm wide, with a sloping bottom surface. The entrance stone is made entirely of WoodStone®. WoodStone® is a mix of 100% FSC®-certified wood fibres and concrete. This robust material is environmentally sustainable and will last for decades. With its rough surface, it provides bats with a good grip.

This entrance stone is designed to provide bats access to a building or cavity. Building-dwelling bat species can use the slot of this entrance stone to enter the building or cavity.
- Preferably, install the entrance stone in multiple locations on the facade, varying both altitude and wind direction.
- Avoid installing an entrance stone directly above doors or windows.
- Ensure a clear entry and exit route, and never place entrance stones in or near artificial light.
This entrance stone does not require cleaning. The sloped bottom allows feces to easily roll out of the stone.
