The entrance hole should not be placed facing southwest due to rain.
Make sure the nest box is not exposed to direct sunlight all day.
Do not add nesting material.
Place the nest box at least 2 meters high in a tree or on a fence or wall.
If desired, the box can be cleaned after the breeding season (preferably in the winter months).
