Description

This WoodStone® nest box with marten protection provides nesting opportunities for the blue tit and black tit, among others. The black front makes this nest box less conspicuous. WoodStone® is a mix of 100% FSC®-certified wood fibres and concrete. This robust material is environmentally sustainable and will last for decades.

  • Hang the nest box using the provided screw or nail.
  • The entrance opening should not face southwest due to rain.
  • Ensure the nest box does not hang in direct sunlight all day.
  • Do not add nesting material.
  • Place the nest box at least 2 feet high in a tree, on a fence, or on a facade. The nest box can also be attached to a tree without nails or screws using Velcro. To do this, rotate the hanging bracket at the back 180 degrees. Velcro is optional to order.

The nest box can be cleaned by opening the front of the nest box. Do this immediately after the young birds have fledged or in the winter months after a few days with frost.
