Description
This sustainable nestbox made of woodstone provides a safe breeding place for various bird species, including the robin, black redstart, common redstart, and white wagtail. Thanks to the additional ribs on the back, the box hangs very securely against walls or trees. With the removable hanging bracket, the nest box can also be suspended freely from a branch. Woodstone, a mixture of concrete and FSC®-certified wood, ensures a long lifespan and optimal insulation, contributing to successful breeding.
Please note: This nest box is supplied without mounting accessories. Make sure to mount it on a hook to ensure it hangs solidly.
For the robin, it is recommended to place the nest box at approximately 1 meter in height, well hidden among greenery. Ideal locations include a vegetated wall, shrubs, or trees with dense branches. For common and black redstarts, as well as the white wagtail, installation on (industrial) buildings is suitable. Preferably choose a quiet, sheltered spot, such as under an overhang, a protruding structure, or in a corner with minimal disturbance.
After the young birds have fledged, the nest box can be cleaned immediately. Alternatively, you can wait until after the first frost period. Regular cleaning increases the likelihood of the box being reused in the next breeding season.
