Description
This extra wide maternity bat box is suitable for installation against any type of facade so also against sheet piling facades. The box is equipped with an extra-long approach board so the bats can land on it. From there, the bats can crawl into the box. The box’s open bottom makes it easy to check. The three compartments, spaced 19 mm apart, are mutually accessible through holes in the partitions. The compartments create different microclimates in the box. This maternity bat box can also be used freestanding on posts. For options, see the VK SK 08. There are several bat species that can use this bat box. This depends on the species that occur locally. This box is suitable as a maternity box but can also serve as a summer and/or breeding box. In mild winters, the box can also serve as a shelter. As a maternity/summer or breeding box possible for:

- Soprano Pipistrelle
- Serotine (experimental).
- Pond Bat (experimental).
- Nathusius’ Pipistrelle

The Box is made of waterproof bonded exterior Plywood. On the inside of the back wall and on one side of the partition, it is finished with spray cork for good grip. For better box protection and insulation, the outside of the box is also finished with spray cork. The Box comes with the appropriate hanging hardware for easy mounting.
