Description
This small bat box is preferably placed on the facade but may also be suitable for installation in trees.
The box is finished in white to reduce the likelihood of overheating when installed in sunny, warm places. This bat box is also available in black (VK WS 01). The black finish has the advantage of allowing the temperature inside the box to warm up quickly when placed in a shady, cooler location.
Several species of bats can use this bat box, depending on the local species and where the box is hung. The box is suitable as a summer and/or breeding box, and in mild winters, it can also serve as a shelter.
The box is made of WoodStone® (WoodStone® is a mix of 100% FSC®-certified wood fibres and concrete) and comes with dowels and screws for mounting.
