Description
This wall scale is intended for installation directly on a rough surface, such as a masonry facade. The box has no back wall, allowing bats to crawl through the facade into the wall shell.
The box is finished in white to prevent the temperature inside from heating up too quickly when placed in sunny, warm locations. The bat box is made of WoodStone® (WoodStone®is a mix of 100% FSC®-certified wood fibres and concrete), it comes with two plugs and bolts for wall mounting. Before installation, first apply the supplied compriband over the entire back edge of the wall shell for a perfect connection to the facade.
The wall box is particularly suitable as a summer and/or breeding box for the common pipistrelle bat, although other bat species may also use it, depending on the local species and where it is hung. The box is appropriate as a summer and/or breeding box, and in mild winters, it can also serve as a shelter.
