The black finish helps the temperature inside to warm up quickly when the box is placed in a shady, cooler place. This bat box is also available in the colour white (VK WS 10). White boxes heat up less quickly inside than black boxes when installed in warm, sunny places. There are several species of bats that may inhabit this box, depending on which species can be found in the area and where the box is hung. This box is suitable for summer roosting, and may also serve as shelter during mild winters. The box is made of 100% WoodStone® and comes with dowels and screws for mounting. WoodStone® is a mix of 100% FSC®-certified wood fibres and concrete. This robust material is environmentally sustainable and will last for decades.
